Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy and the security of your Battle.net account are important to us. This page explains what information we receive from Blizzard, how it is used, and what control you have over your data. Our goal is simple: to verify ownership of World of Warcraft characters so that players can securely manage their own archived roleplay profiles.

Battle.net Authentication

  • This website uses Blizzard's official Battle.net OAuth authentication system.
  • When you choose to sign in, you are redirected to Blizzard's official login page. Your Battle.net credentials are entered directly on Blizzard's website — we never see, receive or store your password.
  • After you successfully authenticate, Blizzard provides this website with a secure authorization token that allows us to verify ownership of your World of Warcraft characters.
  • This is the same authentication technology used by many trusted World of Warcraft services, including Raider.IO, Warcraft Logs and numerous other Blizzard-integrated applications.

What We Receive

After your permission has been granted, we may receive information necessary to operate the archive, including:

  • Your Battle.net account identifier.
  • Your BattleTag.
  • Your linked World of Warcraft licenses.
  • Your World of Warcraft characters required for ownership verification.

This information is used exclusively to identify characters that belong to your Battle.net account and to provide character management features.

What We Never Receive

We never have access to:

  • Your Battle.net password.
  • Payment information.
  • Authenticator codes.
  • Personal security settings.
  • Private Blizzard account credentials.

Your login credentials remain exclusively between you and Blizzard Entertainment.

Why Verification Exists

The archive contains roleplay profiles created by players over many years. Battle.net verification allows legitimate character owners to:

  • Claim ownership of their archived profiles.
  • Update and edit profile information.
  • Hide profiles from the public archive.
  • Permanently delete profiles they own.
  • Help prevent unauthorized management of character profiles.
  • Mark their characters as private for future imports.

Verification exists solely to ensure that only verified owners can manage their own archived content.

How Your Information Is Used

Your Battle.net information is never used for advertising, profiling or marketing purposes. We use the information exclusively to:

  • Verify ownership of World of Warcraft characters.
  • Connect verified users with their archived profiles.
  • Enable profile management features.
  • Improve account security.
  • Help prevent unauthorized management of character profiles.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your Control

You remain in control of your information at all times. Verified users may:

  • Claim their character profiles.
  • Edit profile information.
  • Hide profiles from public search.
  • Permanently delete owned profiles.
  • Disconnect their Battle.net account from this website.

Disconnecting your account removes the association between your Battle.net account and this website. Public profile data that has not been deleted may remain visible until removed by the verified owner.

Community Content

Most character profiles published on this website originate from player-created Total RP 3 (TRP3) profiles that were voluntarily shared within the World of Warcraft roleplaying community.

Profile authors remain responsible for the content they publish.

If a profile contains personal information, copyrighted material, or other inappropriate content, verified owners may remove it themselves, and any user may report the content through the built-in reporting system for review.

Questions or Privacy Requests

If you have questions regarding privacy, data protection, profile ownership or wish to request the removal of content people use the contact form in the impressum. Please include sufficient information to identify yourself and the profile or content in question so that your request can be processed efficiently.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect stored information against unauthorized access, alteration or misuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security; however, we continuously work to protect the integrity of the archive and its users.
